Leading Edge

Traineeships are aimed at those who are in need of vital work experience, have lack of qualification or a lack of confidence. But are still determined to step on to the employment ladder.

The Leading Edge Traineeship is between 6-10 weeks depending on your circumstances. It provides you with valuable work experience teamed up with vital career preparation and maths and English support if required.

To become one of our champions, you must be:

• Between the ages of 16 - 24
• Not currently in a job and have little work experience but are focussed on work or the prospect of it
• Can travel to and fully commit to up to ten weeks, full time work placement at County Durham Furniture Help Scheme

What you will do:

Gain 'meaningful' work experience within County Durham Furniture Help Scheme. You will gain an insight into a variety of roles including; Retail/Customer Service, Warehousing, Delivery and Furniture Restoration.

You will achieve a 'tool kit' of knowledge within interview skills, CV writing, application methods, media and social networking. Improve your maths and english skills, if applicable.

Leading Edge has the potential to move in to paid apprenticeship or employment. We currently have an 85% success rate of moving Trainees in to employment
