Donate Furniture & White Goods

Ways to Donate

Drop off
We can accept donations in person at our Chilton Showroom, where there is lots of free parking by the entrance.
We hugely appreciate your patience if we’re busy when you arrive – we will always try and help you as quickly as possible.
You can also contact us to arrange a time to drop off your donation(s)

Arrange a Collection
If your donated items are too bulky for you to drop off in person, or you are unable to for any other reason, we can collect. We operate two fully crewed vans with tail lifts, so we can fit most items in there.
In order to cover our operational costs, we do need to charge a small fee, starting from £10 for collections. However, if we have vans carrying out deliveries in your area, we may be able to offer free collection.
Please note that while we try our best to take as much as possible, our team may have to politely refuse to take your items if they are not as described. We are very grateful to all our generous donors and this happens extremely rarely.
We gratefully accept a wide range of items including furniture, white goods, electronic items, domestic appliances, clothing and accessories, children’s items, homeware, books, videos, toys, games and collectables.
We’ve provided some examples below. For anything not listed, please give us a call and we’ll let you know if we can accept it.

Item Condition
In order for us to raise the funds required to maintain the charity operation, we need to be able to sell the items that you kindly donate to us.
Although your items may be bruised from use, please ensure that they work (particularly electrical items)
and have all parts in place (for example, no missing doors on wardrobes, no missing drawers on a chest of drawers).
By law, we cannot sell upholstered furniture without a fire safety label. Upholstered means furniture that has cushioning, padding or fabric covering. Examples include sofas, mattresses and padded dining chairs. If you are donating upholstered furniture to our stores, please make sure that there is a fire safety label firmly attached or sewn in and there are no rips or tears that expose the inner fabric, as this means it no longer meets fire safety standards.
Furniture Donation FAQs
For furniture, labels can typically be found sewn in under a cushion, or on the edges of an item. Sometimes the labels can also be found underneath the item too.
The label on mattresses and bed bases are usually sewn in and located at the bottom of the item.
